Based in Winnipeg, Dr. Patlee Creary lives and works on Treaty 1 territory—the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the national homeland of the Red River Métis. Clean water supporting her daily work and life is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation in Treaty 3 territory.

As a first generation Canadian immigrant of Jamaican heritage and African decent, she is dedicated to understanding and honouring her commitments to Treaty principles and to educating others.
